Preparation for Bra-Roll Lipo

Each bra-roll liposuction begins with a consultation. If the person is deemed a good candidate, the surgeon explains all aspects of the operation and recovery. We provide detailed pre-operative instructions to follow in the weeks and days leading up to surgery, which may include guidelines on certain medications, smoking, supplements, and diet. Arrangements must also be made for someone to drive the patient home from the surgical facility. Markings

On the day of the surgery, Dr. Zach marks the areas to be treated while the patient is standing. These lines and dots indicate where the fat deposits are most prominent and where the incisions will be made.
The patient is put under general anesthesia before the start of the procedure so they are completely comfortable. Their pain signals are blocked, and they will not remember anything about the actual surgery. Dr. Zach injects a tumescent fluid that contains lidocaine for numbing and epinephrine to minimize bleeding. This liquid swells the unwanted fat to ease its removal.
A probe that transmits ultrasound waves is inserted through the incisions to break up and loosen fat cells. This technique, called VASER, helps preserve other tissues around the fat.
A cannula is moved through the target areas in the upper back to suction out the melted fat cells. This procedure leaves a more contoured appearance and eliminates the tissue that creates bra rolls.
After fat removal, the small incisions are closed, usually with dissolvable sutures. Temporary drainage tubes may be left in place to prevent fluid buildup.

A back lift can be a complementary procedure to bra-roll lipo. While the liposuction targets the stubborn fat deposits, the back lift removes any excess skin to further contour and smooth the area. Week 1

Activities should be limited to short walks around the house. Compression garments need to be worn 24/7 during this period to minimize swelling and promote skin retraction. Rest and proper hydration are crucial.

Most patients recover within 3-4 weeks. The swelling continues to decrease, and there is no need to wear compression garments during the night. Normal activities can generally be resumed, but vigorous exercise should still be avoided.
Swelling usually resolves within 6-8 weeks after bra-roll liposuction. However, residual effects may persist for 3-6 months. During this time, the tissues continue healing. Any numbness in the treated areas should be generally resolved by this sixth month. The skin takes up to a year to fully retract and adjust to the new body contours. Patients can speed up this process by wearing compression garments and attending lymphatic drainage massages.
